River Crake Valley

River levels remain high following heavy rain on Sunday (14/12/2025) and early Monday (15/12/2025), with low lying land being flooded. Locations most affected will be the river Crake Valley, including Low Nibthwaite, Lowick Bridge, Spark Bridge and Penny Bridge. We are closely monitoring rainfall and river levels. Don't put yourself or others at risk and take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:00 on 17 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
