River and lake levels remain high and further rainfall is expected this evening and overnight. Flooding is affecting locations near the Upper River Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck and Derwent Water, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around The Upper Derwent from Seathwaite to Derwent Water. Further flooding is expected tonight, tomorrow (19/09/2025) and into the weekend as river and lake levels are remaining high due to heavy rainfall. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
