Coast from Heysham to Cockerham

High tides this evening may lead to flooding.  Flooding is possible from 22:00 to Midnight on Monday 26 October 2026.  Locations most affected will be coastal roads and footpaths around Sandylands, Middleton, Sunderland, Bank Houses, Hillam, Sand Side and Cockerham Moss. Flooding in these locations is also possible during the high tide on Tuesday 27th October between 10.30am and 12:30pm.  We are closely monitoring the situation .  Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded.   This message will be updated by 9:00AM on Tuesday 27 October or as the situation changes.
