River Trent at Girton


River levels continue to rise steadily and the risk of flooding continues. Areas most at risk are properties at High Street, West Lane and Gainsborough Road, and properties on Proctors Drive and High Street in Girton. If levels continue to rise, the A1133 and High Street may flood which could isolate the village. Light rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours. River levels at the Carlton on Trent Gauge and Torksey Gauge are rising steadily. Levels are Carlton on Trent are expected to peak tomorrow morning, 10/02/2026. River levels will remain high until Wednesday 11/02/2026. We are closely monitoring the situation. Activate any flood protection products you may have & move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety. This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 10/02/2026 or as the situation changes.
