Loughborough urban watercourses and local tributaries to the River Soar

Forecast high river levels tomorrow morning may lead to flooding.  Flooding is possible on 30 January 2026   Areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads including Kingfisher Way, Forest Road and Monarch Way from the Wood Brook, the Grace Dieu Brook, Burleigh Brook, Black Brook, Grammar School Brook, Hermitage Brook, Sileby Brook, Long Whatton Brook, King’s Brook and Kingston Brook. Heavy rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours. River levels at Loughborough Gauge will rise from 05:00 on 30/01/2026.  We are closely monitoring the situation .  Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .  This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 30 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
