Flood Alert

River Ray and its tributaries from Shipton Lee to and including Islip

High river levels may lead to flooding. River levels are high on parts of the River Ray. Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today, 29 Jan 2026, especially in the Islip area. The forecast is predominantly dry today (29 Jan 2026), with widespread light rain expected overnight and into tomorrow morning. We expect river levels in the lower part of the catchment to rise today as water moves through the system, and to remain high over the coming days. Levels further upstream on the River Ray are below the flood risk threshold. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Avoid low lying footpaths and roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Go to River levels online for updates on current river levels. This message will be updated by 12pm on 30 Jan 2026 or as the situation changes.
