High river levels may lead to flooding. River levels are high on the River Lambourn from Upper Lambourn down to Newbury. Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue today, 12 March 2026, especially in the Shaw area. The forecast is for a mostly dry day today with light showers possible during the afternoon. Heavy rain is expected this evening and overnight. Friday is forecast to be mostly dry with a chance of showers. River levels are high but stable. We expect levels to fall very slowly over the coming days. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Avoid low lying footpaths and roads near rivers, which may be flooded. Go to River Levels Online for updates on current river levels.
