Upper River Medway

Forecast rising river levels overnight may lead to flooding.  Flooding is possible on 01 February 2026 from early evening into the 2 February  Forecasted heavy rainfall this evening and overnight could lead to elevated levels with locations most affected being low lying land and roads around Forest Row, Ashurst, Hartfield and Penshurst.  We are closely monitoring the situation .  Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .  This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 02 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
