Lower River Stour

River levels remain high throughout today following Tuesday's rainfall and additional showers this morning. Flooding is possible throughout the rest of today, 30 January. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers, particularly along the River Stour in Wye, Canterbury and Fordwich. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 18:00 on 30 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
