High groundwater levels may lead to flooding.  Flooding is possible from 07/02/2026 because of a very wet start to 2026.  Today (05/02/2026), it is possible that up to 30mm of rain could be recorded in Hampshire. Groundwater levels in the Candovers and Old Alresford will continue rising slowly into next week. Isolated properties in Old Alresford could possibly experience internal ground floor flooding in the next 2 weeks.  We are closely monitoring the situation .  Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed .  This message will be updated by 6:00PM on 12 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
