High river levels over the next two days may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from the evening of 30 January 2026 as more rain is forecast (15mm).
Currently, residual flood water may be affecting low-lying land and footpaths close to the river. Further rain is forecast today (30/01/2026) and tomorrow (31/01/2026). If further rain causes river levels to rise again, there will be flooding to footpaths at Milford Bridge, opposite Lucerne Road, and potentially, gardens at Milford on Sea High Street. Further impacts are possible from 21:00 30/01/2026. No impacts are expected at Ashley. The levels are expected be lower than 27/01/2026.
We are closely monitoring the situation and operating Milford Dam.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses . Particularly at Milford Bridge opposite Lucerne Road.
This message will be updated by 2:00PM on 31 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
