High river levels today may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 01 February 2026 from 18:00, as a lot of rain (13mm) fell on Sunday.
The debris screen at Hunny Hill near Hunnycross Way is partially blocked causing a rapid rise in water level. There is a possibility the river could come out of bank at Foxes Lane and impacts the aquatics centre. Rain is forecast to continue until 21:00 Sunday 01/02/2026. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce at Hunny Hill by 23:00 01/02/2026.
We are clearing blockages from debris screens . Water levels will reduce rapidly once blockage has been removed.
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have . Particularly properties next to the river at Vicarage Walk.
This message will be updated by 12:00PM on 02 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
