Langney Haven

The Langney Haven is higher than normal following Tuesday's rain. Friday morning's rain will cause a small river rise. Further rain Friday afternoon and Saturday afternoon could keep river levels rising until Sunday. Minor flood impacts will continue to affect fields and parkland including Shinewater Park. From Saturday afternoon, flood water could begin to affect gardens of Langney Green. River levels should finally begin to fall Sunday, but not far. More rain is forecast Monday afternoon, which will cause the river to rise again and further flooding could be possible next week. We are operating structures at Fence Bridge and Crumbles to reduce flood risk. Consider activating any flood protection products you may have in Langney Green.
