River Hayle from Relubbus to St Erth

Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this afternoon.  Flooding is expected on 29 January 2026 from 2PM.  Heavy rain falling in the area will continue throughout the evening. Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 2pm on Thursday. The main areas of concern are properties and low lying areas around the bottom of Tregembo Hill, Green Lane, Battery Hill Playground, Chapel Hill and Chenhalls Road. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. River levels are forecast to be at their highest between 6pm and 9pm.  We are closely monitoring the situation .  Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .  This message will be updated by 1:00PM on 30 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
