River levels remain high on the River Derwent. As a result, flood is expected tonight, Monday 15th December 2025, and into tomorrow, Tuesday 16th December 2025. Locations most affected will be Buttercrambe Mill at Buttercrambe Bridge. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water and start acting on your flood plan if you have one. This message will be updated by 11:00PM on Monday 15th December 2025 or as the situation changes.
