Lower River Nidd catchment

High river levels today may lead to flooding.  Flooding is possible on 27 January 2026 .  Locations most affected will be land around the Lower River Nidd and its tributaries including Sand Beck, Sike Beck, Pool Beck and Great Gutter  We are closely monitoring the situation .  Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .  This message will be updated by 8:00AM on 28 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
