Upper River Aire catchment

High river levels overnight may lead to flooding.  Flooding is possible from the early hours of 15 December 2025 .  River Aire from Gargrave to Stockbridge, including Eshton Beck, Eller Beck and Silsden Beck. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers. We are expecting a heavier burst of rain between midday and 2pm which is likely to generate surface water flooding. From 6pm we will see more persistent rain which will continue until the early hours of Tuesday morning and this will likely impact rivers.  We are closely monitoring the situation .  Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses .  This message will be updated by 12:30AM on 15 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
