Middle River Aire catchment

River levels in the Middle River Aire catchment are rising due to persistent rainfall. Levels are expected to continue to rise and are currently expected to peak overnight. Flooding of low lying land is possible overnight on 15 December 2025 until the morning of Tuesday 16 December 2025. There may be surface water flooding issues during the heavier spells of rainfall. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers. Rainfall is expected to continue until the early hours of Tuesday morning. We are not currently expecting to issue Flood Warnings, but we are monitoring the situation. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. This message will be updated by 8:00PM on 15 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
