Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding today. Flooding is expected on 29 January 2026 . Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Middle Hampshire Avon, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around The Close, St Marys Cathedral, Salisbury Cathedral School, Bishops Walk, Exeter Street and Carmelite Way. Further flooding is expected as river levels remain high in response to recent rainfall and due to high groundwater levels. Further rain is forecast throughout today.
