Flood Alert

Middle Hampshire Avon and tributaries

This is a flood alert update. High river levels and further forecast rain may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 29 and 30 January 2026. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers around tributaries between Salisbury and Ringwood. Rivers are still rising in the catchment following recent rainfall. Further rain is expected tonight and tomorrow. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses, and do not attempt to walk, cycle or drive through flood water. People in this area should continue to monitor local water levels and weather conditions. This message will be updated by 4:00PM on 30 January 2026 or as the situation changes.
