River Axe (Lower) from Axminster to Axmouth

Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this morning.  Flooding is expected on 16 December 2025 .  Heavy rainfall over the last 24 hours has caused river levels to rise. Properties and low lying areas will start to flood from around 6:00AM on Tuesday. The main areas of concern are Hitford Road between Whitford and Musbury, the A3052 at Colyford, the A35 at Yarty Bridge, Seaton Marshes, and farms and other isolated properties between Axminster and Axmouth. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas.  We are monitoring rainfall and river levels .  Activate any flood protection products you may have .  This message will be updated by 4:00PM on 16 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
